ABOUT ME.....
First of all, welcome to my class. I am excited to get to know each of you. I have been teaching in the Salt Lake Diocese since 1985. I returned to Judge Memorial Catholic High School in 2001 as Director of Student Activities and decided to teach full time history instead of directing student activities in 2004. Currently I teach U.S History, World History, and Street Law. I retired from coaching Judge Memorial’s State Champion Mock Trial teams. last year. I taught fifth through eighth grades at St. Vincent’s, grades six through eight while at Our Lady of Lourdes, and in the theology department at Judge for five years. During my years in the Diocese, I have moderated and/or coordinated student council, volleyball, mock trial, dances, service-learning, and retreats. Teaching, advising, and coaching has been wonderfully rewarding.
Gardening, listening to music, reading, cooking, riding my blue scooter and spending time with family and friends are what I enjoy doing in my spare time. I have a new puppy named Jeter. He is a rascal and keeps me very, very busy. I am fluent in German and just recently began communicating with my family in Germany via the web cam. Needless to say, it has helped me improve my German speaking skills. Though I hate to admit it, I watch a fair amount of court television. and I admit I am addicted to "American Idol". I have presented workshops for teachers new to coaching mock trial about the “nuts and bolts” of coaching a mock trial team. I won eleven mock trial championships over 21 years of coaching.

I graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in History and a minor in Political Science. I am licensed to teach by the Utah Board of Education. I have done some master’s work in theology at the University of Dayton, in Ohio. In 1993, I was initiated into the University of Utah’s Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa.
LET'S GO DAWGS!!
